How to add Agents & Managers to AiSensy App?

Know how you can add agents & managers to your projects in AiSensy App.

There are two types of Agents in the AiSensy App:

1. Live Chat Agent- Live Chat Agents only have permission to intervene & respond to chats in AiSensy App. Also, they have access to modify user profiles on the Live Chat & History Page.

2. Managers- Managers, on the other hand, can overlook everything and shoot WhatsApp Broadcasts & API campaigns.

As the owner, You can add multiple agents & assign roles to those agents in AiSensy App easily.

Note: You get 1 Owner + 5 FREE Agents access included with basic and pro plans. Additional Agents at ₹750/ month each

In this tutorial, you'll know how to assign roles to managers & agents in AiSensy App.

Steps to create Agents & Managers in AiSensy App

  1. Go to the Agents Page in Manage Section

    Only the owner can add Managers & Agents to AiSensy App.

    Once you have the owner's access, go to the Agents Page in Manage Section.

2. Click 'Add Agents'

Now, click 'Add Agents' as shown in the image below

3. Fill Agent Details

Clicking this will open a pop-up box where you need to fill in the details of your agents.

These details include:

1. User Name- This is the name the agent will use to log in to AiSensy App. E.g. Shivam411.

2. Display Name- The Display Name is the name of the agent that will appear in the AiSensy App.

3. Password- Add a login password for your agent to log in to AiSensy App

After adding the details, press ‘Create’.

4. Assign Roles

The final step involves assigning roles & responsibilities to the Agents. You can either assign 'Agents' or 'Managers' in the AiSensy App.

Click the dropdown button as shown in the image on the right & assign them roles accordingly.

FAQs

Q. Does the Owner count as part of the free 5 agents?

No. The Owner is separate and does not count toward the free agent quota.
You get:

  • 1 Owner

  • +5 free agents

  • +any purchased agents

Q. How to change Agent Login Password?

If you forget your password, don’t worry- you can change it easily.

To change the User Password, go to your profile & click ‘Edit’. Change the password and re-enter the latest password to confirm the change.

Q. How many agent dashboards can I use in the AiSensy Platform?

You get 1 Owner + 5 FREE Agents access included with basic and pro plans. Additional Agents are charged ₹750/ month each. You can add as many agents as you want!

Q. Can the Agent make changes to the User Profile on History Page?

Yes, the Agents can make changes in the User Profile by adding/removing Tags. Only the intervention can not be done.

Q. What is the pricing for additional agents?

Each additional agent is billed at a flat per-agent rate based on your billing frequency:

Discounts are automatically applied for quarterly and yearly billing.

Q. If I purchase agents in the middle of my billing cycle, how am I charged?

AiSensy charges you pro-rated for the remaining days in your current cycle.
Example: If your plan has 15 days left, you’ll only pay for those 15 days.

Q. How does renewal billing work for agents?

At your plan’s renewal, the system checks how many agents you currently have:

  • Up to 5 agents → included free (free only if you are on a paid AiSensy plan)

  • More than 5 agents → you are billed only for the extra agents

The charge applies per agent, based on your plan’s billing frequency.

Q. What if I don’t want to keep the extra agents I purchased?

You can schedule additional agents for deletion before your renewal date.
Here’s what happens:

  1. Mark the extra agents for deletion.

  2. On renewal day, AiSensy automatically removes those agents.

  3. You are billed only for the remaining active agents.

Example:
You have 5 free agents + 3 paid agents.
You schedule the 3 paid agents for deletion.
→ On renewal, they get removed
→ You pay ₹0 for agents in the next cycle.

Q. I’m an older (legacy) user with more than 5 agents. Do I get charged?

Yes. Legacy users who previously had more than 5 free agents will begin incurring per-agent charges from their next renewal cycle.

Q. How do I purchase additional agents?

Use the “Buy Agents” button on the Agents page.
Once you complete payment:

  • Your subscription gets updated

  • Your agents limit increases

  • The new limit appears instantly through real-time UI updates.

Q. Can I switch an existing agent to a manager and vice versa?

Yes, you can change roles anytime from the Agents section without extra cost.
Role changes do not affect billing — only the number of agents matters.

Q. Does per-agent pricing affect the permissions of Agents or Managers?

No. Pricing only affects the count of agents.
Permissions remain unchanged:

  • Agents → Live Chat + edit profiles

  • Managers → Full access including broadcasts & campaigns
