How to Connect Yuko Loyalty with AiSensy for WhatsApp Notifications

Step by step process to connect Yuko loyalty with AiSensy to automate WhatsApp messages whenever a customer earns loyalty points.

With the Yuko Loyalty x AiSensy integration, you can trigger real-time WhatsApp notifications to customers whenever they earn points after placing an order.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to connect Yuko Loyalty with AiSensy in just a few minutes.


What You Can Do with This Integration

Once connected, you can:

  • Send automatic WhatsApp loyalty point notifications

  • Inform customers whenever points are added to their account

  • Improve retention with instant engagement

  • Automate loyalty communication directly from Shopify


Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • An active AiSensy account

  • An active Yuko Loyalty & Reviews setup on Shopify

  • WhatsApp API connected inside AiSensy

  • Access to AiSensy Open Developer Hub (only project owner has access to this)


Step 1: Copy the AiSensy API Key

  1. Login to your AiSensy Dashboard

  2. Go to Open Developer Hub

  3. Open the API Campaign Key tab

  4. Copy the API token shown there

You’ll need this key while connecting AiSensy inside Yuko.


Step 2: Connect AiSensy inside Yuko

  1. Open Shopify

  2. Go to Yuko Loyalty & Reviews

  3. Navigate to:
    Integrations → AiSensy

  4. Choose API Key as the authentication type

  5. Paste the API key copied from AiSensy

  6. Click Connect Integration

Once connected, the status will change from:

Not Connected → Connected


Step 3: Create API Campaign in AiSensy Campaign

Before we create the loyalty points workflow in Yuko, it's important to make a campaign inside AiSensy.

1. Create a pre-approved template message in AiSensy

Check out this template message guide to learn how to make template messages in AiSensy.

2. Create a Campaign on the AiSensy Platform

  1. Go to the "Campaigns" section in AiSensy.

  2. Click on "Launch" and select API Campaign

  3. Enter a campaign name and select the approved template.

  4. Save and activate the campaign

You can follow the same campaign details as mentioned below if you're doing it for the first time.

Template Message

Hi {{1}}, We're pleased to inform you that {{2}} loyalty points have been successfully added to your account.

This is the WhatsApp template that will be triggered whenever customers earn loyalty points.

Note: Template message shown in the image is just for reference and should not be confused with the template that will be sent to your customers for reward points earned.

Once, you have successfully configured the API campaign in AiSensy, you're ready to setup the workflow in Yuko.


Step 4: Create a Workflow in Yuko

  1. Go to Workflows

  2. Click Create Workflow

You’ll now see a blank workflow canvas with:

Workflow Start → Exit

Step 5: Configure the Trigger

  1. Click the Trigger Node

  2. Select the trigger. You can choose any trigger you want. For reference, we have taken the use case 'Earn Points'

  1. Under Re-entry Criteria, select:

Allow Re-entry

This ensures the same customer can receive WhatsApp notifications every time they earn points from future orders.

Important Note: The re-entry trigger is just for reference. You can choose and set up any other triggers as well, according to your use case.


Step 6: Add the WhatsApp Action

Now add a WhatsApp action node between the trigger and exit nodes.

Step 7: Add Template Parameters

Inside the WhatsApp node, add the following parameters using Yuko shortcodes:

Once saved, the WhatsApp block will display:

Step 8: Turn On the Workflow

  1. Click Turn on Workflow

  2. The workflow status will change from:

Draft → Live

Your automation is now active.


Test your Yuko X AiSensy Integration

Place a Test Order (Optional)

Now test the integration.

  1. Visit your Shopify storefront

  2. Purchase any product

  3. Checkout using a valid WhatsApp-enabled phone number

  4. Complete the order

Once the order is placed, Yuko will trigger the workflow automatically.


Verify Message Delivery in AiSensy

  1. Open the campaign:

  1. Go to the Sent tab

You should now see:

  • Customer contact

  • Message status

  • Delivery timestamp

This confirms the loyalty points event was successfully sent from Yuko to AiSensy and the WhatsApp message was delivered.

Your Yuko Loyalty x AiSensy integration is now live.

Customers will automatically receive WhatsApp notifications whenever they earn loyalty points — helping you improve engagement, retention, and repeat purchases on Shopify.
